Thomas Allan of Charlottesville, Virginia, funded the three dioramas depicted in this book. He
also arranged for their donation to the Museum of the American Revolution, located in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tom has been a lifelong collector of Revolutionary War miniatures and donated all the figures for the three dioramas.

Bret Jones, owner of Rail Tales Hobby Shop, in Charlottesville, Virginia, oversaw and participatedin the production of the dioramas. Bret did all the necessary research to guarantee the historical accuracy of the pieces. Some geographic compression was required in order to incorporate key historical events and provide visual focus.

Brett and company scratch built buildings, scenic elements and landscape features. All the terrain is depicted with as much accuracy as possible; given the historical accounts of the three sites. The problems of time and sequence of events are handled within each diorama.

All the collectable figures were repainted and detailed to best represent the uniforms and kit used at each location.
