Scratch built

The model is of St. Michael’s Church in Charleston, SC. The structure was scratch built by Dallas under commission for an HO scale train layout. While it demonstrates Dallas’s skills, it also is an example of club members helping one another. For example, after Dallas built a window, Richard Isner assisted with casting multiple copies for repeating elements. Bret Jones scratch built the weather vain and did the final weathering on the building.
