Three seat, twin engine, space fighter / interceptor from the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica TV series. Color scheme inspired by original concept sketch by Ralph McQuarrie. Original film model designed and built by John Dykstra, and the same crew of model builders that built the ships for Star Wars.
Painted with Mr. Surfacer primer, various Vallejo & Archive X acrylic paints & AK enamel effects. 3D printed canopy & pilots. Assorted extra parts and details added from scrap box and styrene strips. Evans Designs LED lights for pilots, running lights and engine lights. Reflective foil added around exhaust nozzles in an attempt to enhance engine lights.
