The RC-12X Guardrail is the US Army’s primary conventional airborne SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) asset. It is based on the Beechcraft B200 twin engine turboprop. The antennas and arrays are used to collect enemy electronic emissions, such as radios, cell phones, and radars. The Guardrail has seen extensive service in Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, Europe, and Korea.
The kit is resin. Extensive scratch building was added. The model was painted with Vallejo Model Air acrylics.
