The Alvis Stormer is a modern military armored vehicle manufactured by the British company Alvis Vickers, now Bae Systems Land & Armaments. The Stormer is a development of the CVR(T) family of vehicles (Scorpion, Scimitar, Spartan, etc.). Essentially a larger, modernized version with an extra road-wheel on each side. The British Army use Stormer equipped with the Starstreak HVM for short range air defense. Under Army 2020, Stormer HVM equip three regular and two reserve artillery batteries.
The resin, white metal, and photo etch kit was built pretty much out of the box. The additional tarps are tissue paper soaked in diluted Matte Medium. The figure is an old Jadar Miniatures Bosnia peacekeeper AFV crewman. The “bundled up” look adds to the realism. Lots of mud applied created with Golden medium that has pumice mixed in it. Colored with polyscale and AV acrylics. Homemade decals are Testors Printjet waterside.
